This is where the around 6 km long sandy beach which commenced in Playa del Ingles comes to an end. The small palm tree oasis in the midst of gigantic sand dunes has turned into a small, modern and exclusive seaside resort with shopping and entertainment possibilities. Some of Gran Canaria's best hotels are to be found in Maspalomas. A gigantic sea of dunes separated the golf course from the sea.
